Matt Herr is a Group Creative Director with over 20 years of experience building culture-driving work for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Snickers, Twix, Google, IBM, Samsung and Kraft-Heinz. His work has been recognized with every major industry award—Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, ADC, Clios, and Radio Mercury Awards—with a focus on ideas that people actually remember.
Most notably, Matt’s Twix #TBT campaign was named the Gunn Report’s 3rd Most Awarded Film Ad in the World and the #1 Most Awarded in the U.S., taking home Gold and Silver One Show Pencils, a Cannes Lion, and more along the way.
Matt’s path into advertising was anything but typical. He started his career as a butcher’s assistant before attending the School of Visual Arts, where he traded the meat locker for a creative career at top agencies including BBDO New York, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, BBH, Grey, Anomaly, and Translation. Along the way, he’s led teams, shaped brands, and helped turn simple insights into work people actually care about.
When he’s not thinking about ideas, Matt can usually be found chasing snow around the world, riding motorcycles, or hanging out with his French bulldog, Gizmo.
